Glenda Price

After encountering Captain Price and invite her in (much to Mallory’s protestations), she introduces herself to expected shock and or fanfare that never comes. Apparently, she’s a famous pilot, listing off her appearances until finally the crew is forced to admit they’ve never heard of her.

Price explains that she was forced off-course while delivering medical supplies to poor children by asteroids. Of course, Archer tries to save face by making it seem like that was what happened to them too, even though they ended up here by him aimlessly flying the ship after tripping on eggs.

She informs the crew that there is no way out of the beast’s belly and they are doomed to the same fate as her, being slowly digested for over 100 years. Add another “0” and I sense this is a reference to a certain beast from Return of the Jedi.

After an expedition back to Price’s ship to find some charges that Sterling thinks can help blow a hole in the creature’s gut, they find her former crew members dead. However, they aren’t all dead from suicide, as Price told them, but they’ve been murdered (bump, bump, BUUUUUUMP).

Escape plan

After using the charges, unsuccessfully, a bunch of parasites emerges from the ruptures following the expedition crew back to the Seamus.

But they return to the ship to see that Captain Price has manipulated Cyril into thinking that he needs to kill himself for the good of the crew and Ray is a mutineer for refusing to kill himself. But upon hearing that someone aboard the ship has started a suicide cult, Cheryl decides to charge into the beast’s belly while talking like a pirate.

Eventually, Archer formulates a plan to use the intact fuel rods from Price’s ship, the Tristan, to power the Seamus’s engine and get them all out of there. Unfortunately, the Seamus will fire out of there the second the two are connected, meaning someone must stay behind to power up while the rest of the crew escapes on the Seamus. Seeing as how Price killed her crew and/or convinced them to kill themselves so she could eat them (despite having rations left over), Archer decides to convince Price to stay behind.

Archer tells Price that, although she went crazy she can redeem herself by this final sacrifice. He even volunteers to record her final moments and show the rest of the world what a hero she is.

The Seamus bursts out of the creature’s stomach, leaving Price behind. However, the kicker is that Cheryl had stored extra fuel rods on the Seamus, which the crew could have used to get out themselves. And, as everyone would have guessed, Archer reveals that he wasn’t even recording Price’s final moments of bravery.
