4. United

If you want a movie, then you’re going to want to check out United. Set in 1958 after the Munich air disaster, the story is based on the true story of the “Busby Babes.” The air disaster claimed the lives of eight members of Manchester United.

Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch and Doctor Who) wrote the movie and it has an all-star cast and David Tennant takes on the role of assistant manager Jimmy Murphy. Me Before You’s Sam Claflin, Unbroken’s Jack O’Connell, and Midsomer Murders’ Neil Dudgeon also star.

3. The Nile

A documentary to check out drops towards the end of the month on Acorn TV. Historian Bettany Hughes takes you on an epic journey across Egypt on her own traditional Dahabiya boat. It takes almost 1,000 miles to sale from Cairo to the Aswan Dam, and she’ll take you through the history and beauty of the area.

Listen out for the ancient gossip about the rich and family, get a closeup with King Tut’s grandmother, and delve into the mysteries of the past. You’ll see Egypt (and The Nile) in a way you never have before.
