5 characters most likely to die in Stranger Things Season 3

With Stranger Things Season 3 just around the corner, which characters are least likely to survive?

There are a lot of mysteries going into the new season of Stranger Things. How does Eleven’s connection to the Upside Down still exist after she closed the Gate in the finale of last season? Is Billy going to be able to cuckhold Mrs. Wheeler? But there’s one question that I am more interested in than the theories about which D&D monster will be referenced in this season? Who is going to die?

Are the Duffer brothers going to surprise us by killing off a major character this season? Will they follow the established precedent of having only a few deaths (of main characters) per season? Here are my predictions for five characters in Stranger Things who could die this season?

5. Billy Hargrove

Billy is a very polarizing character on Stranger Things, but he wasn’t too involved in the action of Season 2 (other than beating up Steve before his sister tranquilized him). But the trailer for Season 3 appears to be teasing a bigger role for Billy with regards to the Upside Down.

In the trailer, we get a brief shot of Billy in the shower looking at a pretty gruesome wound on his arm. Unfortunately for him, it doesn’t appear that he got this by accidentally cutting his arm on a kitchen knife. Instead, it looks black and decaying, very similar to what came out of Will in Season 2 when his mom and brother were forced to heat the Mind Flayer out of him.

Billy is also shown to be a lifeguard at the Hawkins pool and there is an episode called “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard” which means at the very least Billy is going to have some brush with an entity from the Upside Down. Because Billy is such a provocative character, it’s less likely that he’ll die than some others but things aren’t looking too good for him.
