4. Doc Martin

While Doc Martin Season 9 doesn’t have an official release date, it’s going to be sometime in September. Episodes will be released weekly after the UK premiere. And this is going to be a show you want to put on your list.

Martin Clunes returns as the titular character, the upright and tactless doctor in Portwenn. He clashes with the various locals within the village. Caroline Catz returns as Martin’s wife, who takes up child counselling after resigning from her job as headmistress. However, Martin’s job is on the line this season, as the General Medical Council decide to look into the many complaints it has received about the GP.

3. The Time of Our Lives

Acorn TV always does well with its content from Australia, and that’s going to be no different with The Time of Our Lives. All 13 episodes of the 2013 dramedy are making their way to the streaming service. It’s a series about family, real families with real problems and mistakes.

Claudia Karvan, Shane Jacobson, and William McInnes star in this series about an extended family living in inner-city Melbourne. All in their 30s and 40s, they deal with raising children, owning homes, and their careers. This is a story about life as we know it, with the good, the bad, and the hilariously terrible.
