4. Anner House

Game of Thrones‘ Liam Cunningham stars in Anner House with A Very English Scandal‘s Flora Montgomery. They play Irish emigrants, Ruth and Neil, in Cape Town, who need to deal with their past while making important decisions about the future.

It’s not quite a TV show. The 90-minute movie is still moving and based on Maeve Binchy’s short story of the same name. This isn’t one to miss when it is released on Nov. 28.

3. An Accidental Soldier

Okay, so this option isn’t technically a TV series. It’s a 90-minute drama, but something that you need to watch on Acorn TV in November. Dan Spielman plays an Australian soldier who flees the Western Front during World War I. It’s based on John Charalambous’ Silent Parts, telling a love story as the Australian soldier finds refuge in the home of a French woman, played by Marie Bunel.

Considering the time of year, it’s important to look back at the lives lost and the stories untold. An Accidental Soldier is a drama that many will have overlooked over the years and now is your chance to watch. You’ll fall in love with it from start to finish.
