The Benchwarmers (2006)

Three middle-aged buddies named Gus Matthews (Rob Schneider), Clark Reedy (Jon Heder), and Richie Goodman (David Spade) were never the most popular kids in school back in the day. After witnessing a kid named Nelson (Max Prado) get forced off a baseball field by a team full of arrogant little league players, the three gentlemen decide to take a stand.

After conversing with Nelson’s father Mel (Jon Lovitz), the three brave men decide to partake in a baseball tournament (hosted by Mel) that would grant the champion playing rights in a newly constructed baseball field. The trio aims to be heroes to the many kids out there missing out on the joy of playing ball. The tournament would consist of fully rostered little league teams and the undermanned, amateur team of Gus, Clark, and Richie. What could go wrong?

It’s a three-man squad taking on teams with full lineups as this trio braces for the aftermath of what they have gotten themselves into! Watch as these courageous men deal with hitting struggles, catching woes, and some newfound fame as they stand up to bullies and fight for the right of each kid to play ball and not have to warm the bench.

Co-starring in this movie are also Nick Swardson, Tim Meadows, Molly Sims, and Erinn Bartlett. It’s a funny movie, and very nostalgic!
