2. Will Hen and Karen adopt or foster?

I’d called it that Hen would want to do something when there was the risk of the young boy going into foster care. I told my husband that she’d adopt him.

While I wasn’t exactly right, I was close. Hen and Karen decided that since they can’t have their own children together, they’ll help the children in need. They didn’t specifically say whether they were going to adopt or foster, but I get the feeling that it’s the latter.

There’s the chance to help a few more through fostering. They can open their home up to more children at a time and offer a safe home, even if it’s just on a temporary basis. It’s going to be exciting to see this storyline play through, along with the challenges fostering brings.

1. What’s next for Michael?

We were left with a shocking revelation at the end of 9-1-1‘s fall finale. Michael admitted to Bobby that the doctors found a tumor. Understandably, Michael didn’t want to tell his family. It’s Christmas and he wanted them to have happy memories. After all, he might not be around next Christmas. That’s how it sounds anyway.

I love that Michael felt like he could tell Bobby the truth. He knows he can trust Bobby to keep it a secret but also managed to get rid of some of the burden of this news. The question is what’s next?

The writers don’t tend to do things like other TV shows, so I doubt we’ll have a storyline where the tumor is kept a secret for a long time. It’s likely going to be focused on the family coming together, because as Athena said, Michael is still family.
