8. Paw Patrol (2013-present)

No list would be complete without a few TV shows geared towards kindergarten age and younger. It was an embarrassment of riches when it came to shows for preschoolers. Two, in particular, stood out including number eight on my list. Premiering back in 2013, Paw Patrol is a show that most parents have been forced to watch while kids rejoice in seeing Ryder and his group of pups.

If you aren’t a parent, then this description is for you. Paw Patrol is all about Ryder and his group rescue pups: Marshall, Skye, Chase, Rubble, Rocky and Zuma. The show is basically them going around their town and solving problems. The pups all have their own vehicles and “pup packs” that help them if necessary. Overall, the series is one of the better shows aimed at preschoolers and has been praised by critics since its release.

While some think Paw Patrol is just a show for kids, it’s a huge cultural phenomenon. Despite airing only six years ago, the series has been featured in tons of merchandise, a movie in the works and a video game. If there is something that Paw Patrol can be added to, no doubt that their viewers are going to watch it. Paw Patrol was an easy pick for the list as many parents would say it was one of the TV shows that defined the 2010’s for them.
