30 TV shows in danger of being canceled in 2020
By Sandy C.
Network: The CW
30. All American
Why it’s in danger: This isn’t the first time CW’s All American finds itself on this list. Last year, the series failed to attract much attention or a large fan base, but ever since Netflix made the first season available to stream on their service, it’s caught more eyes. Are you a fan of All American? Do you think the amount of new fans are enough to secure a third season? The numbers aren’t there, unless CW gives the series a chance.
Chances of renewal: 50/50
29. Nancy Drew
Why it’s in danger: One thing you gotta love about the CW network is that, for the most part, they do give our second season renewals. With one season under Nancy Drew‘s belt, we’re betting the mystery-drama will return. However, this doesn’t mean ratings are great. To safely secure a second season (and third), it needs a larger audience.
Chances of renewal: Likely safe. With the amount of shows the CW has already put on the chopping block (or close enough), it’s likely Nancy Drew will be renewed for a second season.
28. Charmed
Why it’s in danger: For how popular the original Charmed was and how large its cult following continues to be, CW’s Charmed reboot failed to impress! A lot of criticism surround the series from the beginning, and things haven’t gotten any better. Still, Charmed has accomplished attracting a small, new audience (those who aren’t familiar with the original story), but will that be enough for a third season?
Chances of renewal: 50/50
27. Dynasty
Why it’s in danger: Like many other shows on this list, this isn’t Dynasty‘s first time on the hot seat. Dynasty almost didn’t secure a second season as not many people tuned in. It’s a shame, this show is drama-packed and a lot of fun to watch all the scandals. It doesn’t seem like it is (or ever was) CW’s priority, though, as fans continue to blame the network for poor promotions when it comes to the show.
Chances of renewal: Unlikely
26. Black Lighting
Why it’s in danger: As much as we love Black Lightning here at Hidden Remote, it doesn’t seem like it resonated with fans. CW-watchers seem to already be cemented on their love for the Arrowverse. However, now that the characters seem to be joining the other heroes, fans may show more interest. Unless it’s too late?
Chances of renewal: 50/50
