In the latest episode of Superstore, Amy’s hit with favoritism accusations when she makes Mateo her assistant while Jonah proves he’s one of the guys.

Can Amy ever have a peaceful day at Cloud 9? Superstore quickly reminds her that, no, a peaceful day isn’t truly attainable. But would she have it any other way? When Amy decides to name Mateo as her assistant to help out with the excess of work at the store, the rest of the staff balks and accuses her of favoritism. Naturally, a group of employees competing for the position of Amy’s assistant breaks out and more than likely forces Amy to rescind the idea of even having one. This is why Cloud 9 can’t have nice things, or even gently fight for gender equality without madness.

Elsewhere in the latest Superstore, one week after tangling with Dina over her father, Sandra finds herself caught in the middle of Dina’s newest power struggle with Glenn. Given that he’s been named the new floor supervisor and Dina’s the assistant manager, things could get ugly between the two, and it looks like Sandra’s catching the brunt of it.

Meanwhile, Jonah tries to prove himself as “one of the guys” to Garrett, clearly overcompensating for a throwaway comment. However he choose to exert his masculinity, there’s no way it won’t lead to some sort of endearing embarrassment.
