It turns out the hospital doesn’t have any money. If Max doesn’t do something, all staff will be sent home unpaid. You just know how well that will go down, and Max isn’t going to want to let anyone down. Doctors, nurses, even janitors. They are all important to him, and he’s going to do what it takes to make sure they don’t go unpaid.

But it’s not going to be easy. Where is he going to get the money from? One of Max’s problems is that he keeps spending money instead of finding ways to raise it. Yes, it’s admirable, but a hospital needs money to run.

While all that goes on, Kapoor has to deal with the future of medicine. It’s some sort of device that should make his job easier, but it sounds like he thinks it could replace him. Nobody can replace Kapoor. Just how much is the device going to cost the hospital, though?

Then there’s Iggy, who wants to prove a diagnosis. He’s willing to go the extra mile, even if it is completely against the norms of his job.

Bloom gets an unexpected visitor. Thanks to TVLine, we know that’s her mother. What drama will unfold?
