Who doesn’t argue in a relationship? Who doesn’t fight? There are other warning signs with Giannina on Love is Blind that can’t be ignored.

3. The counter-proposal was a huge problem.

Damian didn’t know because it was behind closed doors. He thought it was organic, just something part of the Love is Blind experience. Unfortunately for him, however, it wasn’t. The counter-proposal was at first a refusal of his proposal, one that took entirely too long. Her pregnant pause wasn’t just about the reversal, but also the anguish of the moment. She wanted him to doubt the reply. The counter-proposal was just her emasculating coup de grâce.

4. Parental warning

Even Giannina’s parents are trying to talk Damian out of it. Her parents are telling Damian that he doesn’t know what he’s getting into. They’re throwing up as much as a warning as a parent can, without straight up saying their own child is a game playing child in an adult’s body.

Admittedly, she says she’s been testing him and being argumentative on purpose, but if anyone is going to lie for you it’s your parents. Not even her parents are sticking up for her! My recommendation to Damian:

Plain and simple, her comment about sex was brutal. Evil. It’s one thing to have a healthy conversation with your partner about what’s lacking sexually, and it’s another to attack.

It was meant to hurt him at the deepest core. She wasn’t interested in mending a relationship. She wasn’t interested in compromise. And she’s definitely not ready for marriage if she’s alright with telling her fiance that not only does she lack the butterflies she once had, but his belief the sex is amazing is not reciprocated.
