Disney Pixar’s Onward is now available on VOD
By Sandy C.
Just in time for the weekend, Disney has released Onward on VOD! Here’s where you can get it and how much it’ll cost you.
Disney Pixar’s Onward, voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt, may have just been released in theaters on May 6, 2020, but it is already available on VOD and it’s coming to Disney Plus on April 3. This is due to the coronavirus shaking up the entertainment world, putting a halt on TV productions and pushing movie premiere dates back indefinitely.
March 20 saw the VOD release of The Invisible Man, The Hunt, and Emma. And now fans are learning that Onward is available on VOD, as well. The movie is set in a fantastical world that follows two brother Ian (Holland) and Barley (Pratt) Lightfoot. They receive a magical staff from their late father that comes with a spell that allows their father to return and meet his sons (he passed when they were young). But for the spell to work, they’ll need to work together, something they’re not great at.
Where can you get it and how much will it be? Buy the movie digitally on Movies Anywhere for $19.99. This is a lot less money than how much it takes to make a trip to the movies as tickets average about $12-$15 each. That price doesn’t include popcorn and other snacks. Have a movie party at home!
If you would still rather not spend any money at this time, Onward will be available to stream on Disney Plus on April 3! This isn’t long at all. If you have already seen the movie and would love to watch it again, just wait a couple of more weeks to stream it free if you already have Disney Plus.
