6. The Fly (1986)

If you love Jeff Goldblum and body horror, then The Fly should top your watchlist. This 1986 horror movie is considered a classic for a reason. Goldblum plays a scientist named Seth Brundle that succeeds in making a teleportation device.

Unfortunately for Seth, he doesn’t realize that a housefly infiltrated his machine. When he uses it, Seth merges with the fly, creating a new monstrosity.

The Fly has proved massively influential in both the sci-fi and horror genres. It even spawned a franchise, although none of its follow-up films were anywhere near as critically beloved as the first. For those who enjoy it, consider reading the George Langelaan short story it was based on.

5. The Collection (2012)

Sadly, The Collector is not one of the horror movies streaming on Starz at the moment, which is unfortunate since it is better than its sequel, The Collection. However, that doesn’t mean The Collection isn’t worth watching.

If you’re a gore fan and/or you love the Saw movies, you should check this movie out. Arkin returns, somehow surviving after being captured by The Collector at the end of the first film. At a horrific entrapment party, The Collector abducts a young girl named Elena.

Arkin is then forcibly enlisted by Elena’s father to go back to The Collector’s booby-trapped warehouse and save her.
