Will Devi and her mother further solidify their relationship?

After a heated argument with her mother resulted in her crashing at Ben’s place for a bit, Devi agrees to come back home after she apologizes to Nalini at the coast. Though the teen and her mother’s strict parenting clash at times, can the mother and daughter move past their argument and continue to strengthen their relationship? Things look good for now, but if anything, this relationship has not always been smooth.

Will Kamala and Prashant develop a relationship?

Devi’s cousin Kamala met with a man named Prashant (Rushi Kota) for a potential arranged marriage towards the end of the season. The lunch turned into a mess as Kamala had to sneak out Steve (Eddie Liu), her now ex-boyfriend.

Nevertheless, Prashant and Kamala seemed to initially like each other when finally talking alone. This could mean a budding romance, but we must wait and see for that.

What about the move to India?

Devi and her mother’s major argument initially stemmed from the fact that they were going to move to India. This would completely change Devi’s life and move her away from friends, high school life in America, along with Paxton/Ben.

This is a major plot point for Season 2, as it could focus on the family moving to India or continuing their lives in the US. There was no clear indication at the end of Season 1 as to whether the family would go on as planned with their move.
