The final Dolores

Ultimately, we have to assume that the prime Dolores this season intended to be a throwaway.  She knew that in the end, it would be down to Caleb and herself and that she would have to sacrifice herself to allow for Caleb to move forward. Also, Dolores purposely didn’t carry the Delos data on her person, which means she must have known that at one point, she would end up in enemy hands. But we hope you didn’t think they actually killed off Dolores completely because there’s more.

There is still one Dolores unaccounted for out of the pearl copies that were taken out of Westworld. That Dolores, which has possibly been hiding out in Berlin, will undoubtedly play an essential role in Season 4. We also can’t rule out that the other copies will make a comeback for a Dolores reunion since we did not see any of the pearls destroyed.

Haleores will recreate the Westworld family

At the end of the season finale, a recovered Haleores revealed that she was back at the Delos plant manufacturing hosts. It looks like Dolores’s new enemy (ironically herself) is building an army. I wouldn’t be surprised if Haleores intends to recreate all of the hosts that have been out of order since Westworld‘s demise.

I also wouldn’t put it past Haleores to make some host replacements for humans that need to be replaced now that she’s figured out she can do that. Next season may just introduce an entire world of hosts seamlessly walking around a very human world.

The Man in Black is back

The Man in Black thought he was going to save the world by killing all hosts, but he needed more than bravado for that kind of destruction. And let’s be real, William had no allies and no army. Haleores had her host copy of the Man in Black slice his throat before he could even think of his next move.

Much like the second season finale foreshadowed, it seems that this version of the Man in Black we’re going to see going forward is a host with the same set of standards and lack of remorse as the Man in Black before he killed his daughter. There will be no more guilt or confusion fussing with the Man in Black anymore because there’s no redemption arc coming from this version of William.
