Best animated shows: Bless the Harts is one of Fox’s most brilliant animated shows

Moving to the first adult series on the list, this one doesn’t actually air on a streaming service but on Fox. Unlike some of its other counterparts, Bless The Harts is more akin to Bob’s Burgers than Family Guy or The Simpsons.

Even though the first season wrapped up in 2019, we can look forward to the second season. It’s set to air on Fox in September among the rest of the Animation Domination lineup.

Before getting into that though, you can watch the first season on Hulu. Bless The Harts follows the Hart family: Jenny, her daughter Violet, Jenny’s boyfriend Wayne and her mother, Betty.

The show is basically about them struggling to make ends meet and having fun despite all of their struggles. Even though the first season only had 10 episodes, the show focused on a wide range of topics and even poked a little bit of fun. The first episode was a huge play on people collecting Beanie Babies in the ’90s.

As with the previous series, Bless The Harts has a dynamic voice cast. Jenny is voiced by Kristen Wiig along with Maya Rudolph as Betty. It’s rounded out by Jillian Bell as Violet, Ike Barinholtz as Wayne and Kumail Nanjiani as Jesus.

The show focuses a lot on the family and their struggles but is also extremely heartfelt and funny. Along with only having 10 episodes thus far, it’s no doubt a quick watch and easily achievable over a weekend.
