Counting On: Joy-Anna Duggar is having a hospital birth for Baby No. 2
Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth is keeping Counting On fans updated on YouTube
Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth haven’t been on Counting On this season as much as in the past. Their updates mostly come from their own YouTube channel, which is where the hospital birth decision has come up.
During a recent video, the Counting On star shared that she was packing her hospital bag. She quickly notes that this is the first time she’s had to pack a hospital bag. When she had her son Gideon, she chose a homebirth.
Why the change? Joy-Anna had to go to the hospital in the end for a c-section. The decision to go to the hospital this time is likely linked to that. She’d rather be where the doctors are just in case there are complications with this pregnancy.
During the video, she also shared that her hips aren’t quite in line properly so there may be issues with the labor there.
Her mother and sisters won’t be there
There is going to be more that’s different for Joy-Anna Duggar this time around. The Counting On star won’t have her mother and sisters there for the birth, especially since she’s choosing to have the baby at the hospital.
The coronavirus continues to be a problem, and Joy-Anna will have her baby this month. The hospitals are currently still on strict lockdown, which means only Austin will be there for her.
According to PEOPLE, she’s a little nervous about having a girl. There are plenty of Duggar women who have had girls who can help with that one!
There likely won’t be any cameras. Not only will the hospitals not allow them in but it looks like Joy-Anna and her husband have stepped away from the show. They haven’t been featured in much of Counting On Season 11 and there have been comments that they are stepping away from the cameras to focus on other business matters.
We’ll likely hear about the birth on the series. We’ll also get updates on their own Instagram feeds and on YouTube.
