These last two films are quintessential watches for Selena Gomez fans.

Unlike the previous entries, these last two films are entirely different. One is more of a guilty pleasure, while the other is more dramatic and features heavier themes. The first is available to stream on HBO Max, and that’s Monte Carlo. Released in 2011, it was one of Selena’s early films that weren’t Disney.

Gomez plays a dual role in Grace and Cordelia in the film. One is a commoner, and the other is royalty, so they decide to switch places. It’s a lot of fun and understandably predictable. Gomez is joined by Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy, making for a well-rounded trio. Once again, the film isn’t groundbreaking but is a fun weekend watch. If you’re looking for more Selena after Selena + Chef, this should fulfill your craving.

The final film to make the cut is The Fundamentals of Caring on Netflix. It’s easily the most underrated and probably the one most Selena fans don’t know about. However, the film features Gomez in a more dramatic role as Dot, a runaway. While she doesn’t have as large of a role in this film, she embodies it perfectly and stands out in the movie. If you haven’t watched The Fundamentals of Caring yet, it’s worth your time if you’re subscribed to Netflix.

Before wrapping things up, it would be a travesty not to mention Selena’s work behind the camera as well. She’s most well-known for being an executive producer for Thirteen Reasons Why. Even though the series is over now, it’s one of her biggest credits to date. She also executive produced Living Undocumented on Netflix, too. Overall, there should be something Selena Gomez has worked on you might enjoy.
