Supernatural Season 15 sets premiere date for final episodes

The CW has set the premiere date for the final Supernatural episodes

Supernatural fans can get ready for the end – again.

The CW announced fall premiere dates, including the return of Season 15 with the final seven episodes. Supernatural Season 15 is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET, according to Deadline.

While the final two episodes still need to be filmed, the other five episodes are ready to go. Filming is set to re-start on Tuesday. The main cast members that need to wrap up Season 15 have been quarantining in Vancouver due to Canada’s rules regarding travel because of the coronavirus.

Supernatural Season 15 changes

Interestingly, it seems the shutdown led to some changes in how the story would finish. Jensen Ackles revealed as much during a video chat with Senator Cory Booker – who is a big Supernatural fan – senate candidate MJ Hegar, Misha Collins, and Jared Padalecki.

Maybe in time, we’ll learn just what they had to change, but this will certainly feel like the end for the cast and crew and the fans.

Ackles also said the penultimate episode feels more like a season finale whereas the last episode feels like a series wrap up. It makes you wonder if there are any time jumps in the final episode to see what exactly happens to everyone after the final showdown with Chuck.

In the meantime, there is a new date for Supernatural fans to keep an eye on. October 8 – if everything goes smoothly during filming of the final two episodes – will be the premiere for the final episodes of the long-running series.
