Jihoon seems to offer an update on his relationship on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way

It’s hard not to feel sorry for Jihoon Lee on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2. Deavan’s mother is not letting things go, with most fans taking Jihoon’s side. However, things were starting to look up in the most recent episode.

On the Aug. 24 episode, Jihoon and Deavan celebrated their son’s 100-day birthday. Whatever you think of this, it’s an important part of South Korean culture, and something Deavan perfectly respected. It was also a major point of their relationship; would Jihoon’s family accept her?

The good news is Jihoon’s grandmother accepted both Deavan and her daughter Drascilla. I loved how Jihoon described Drascilla as energetic to keep it positive. It was Deavan’s mother who went with the more negative description of “wild.” She is wild. Drascilla needs stricter parenting, but that’s for another article.

The important thing is that the family accepted Deavan and Drascilla. Does this mean things will work out for the two after 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way Season 2 ends?

Things aren’t looking good on social media

We don’t have answers. The stars of the series aren’t allowed to let people know what happens at the end. They’re not allowed to hint too much about things on social media, either, which can make things a little difficult for them. After all, there are always certainly clues that hint things haven’t worked out.

According to InTouch Weekly, Jihoon suggests that things haven’t worked out between them. Jihoon took to Instagram Live to say how he was “free” and that the two had split up. He also scrubbed his profile of anything to do with Deavan. The Instagram Live has since been removed.

Deavan also confirmed that she’s moved back to America instead of settling into a life in South Korea. There are also rumors that she’s dating someone called Topher Park now, according to Soap Dirt.

It does sound like they’re trying to work on a custody agreement for their shared son. Hopefully, Deavan agrees to her end of the deal to allow Jihoon and his family to see the child.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way airs its midseason finale on Aug. 31 at 9/8c on TLC.
