Jenelle Evans has officially gone too far on TikTok this time, reports The Sun.

Even Jenelle’s fans agree on this one. Upon reflection, so does Jenelle, it seems. Or at the very least, the controversial reality star recognizes when it’s time to apologize. And that time is definitely right now.

According to The Sun, the backlash began when the TikTok loving Teen Mom 2 alum posted an unexpectedly upsetting video to her dance-filled account. Starting out innocently enough, the questionable clip shows Jenelle playfully pretending to apply makeup. At some point, however, she casually (and callously) drops the R-word, referring to herself.

It goes without saying that not many of her fans were laughing along.

Many are saying that the 28-year-old should know better. Living her life in the very public eye and with a significant social media following, there was absolutely no way using the R-word would not come back to haunt her. No matter how lighthearted she may have intended the video to be when she made it, people didn’t take it lightly.

In the unfortunate TikTok moment, Jenelle Evans pretends to apply makeup and raps along to lyrics, “I know for a fact that y’all think I’m r****ded, and the crazy s**t is that I am, I am. I really am.”

It appears she has since deleted the video.

No matter how she meant what she said on TikTok, helpful fans were quick to educate Jenelle, letting her know how not okay using the R-word for any reason is. One person attempted to give advice, replying to the video, “Ooo no. Let’s not use that word.”

As the comments continued to mount, mostly everyone agreed that it’s never an okay word to use, even when and if referring to oneself. Now, Jenelle is owning up to that. Sort of.

In her apology, Evans said, “Sorry to have offended anyone,” and expressed her reasoning for making the video, explaining, “I was doing a trend that 20k people are doing as well. I don’t think anyone is intending harm posting this trend.”

With that said, an apology like this might not be enough for people still disappointed with Jenelle Evans’ choice of the offensive word.
