Disney Plus: 6 Halloween DCOMs to stream in October

These first two DCOMs are quintessential 90’s watches for Halloween

Kicking the list off is none other than Halloweentown. When people think of Halloween DCOMs, no doubt most will mention this one first. It’s stood the test of time despite first being released back in 1998. Whether you enjoyed it as a kid or are rewatching it as an adult, the film series is easily among one of Disney’s best Halloween films. If you haven’t watched the film though, then you’re in for a treat.

The film follows Marnie and her siblings spending time with their Grandma Aggie. Eventually, we find out Aggie and Marnie’s mother, Gwen is witches. After that, the family aside from Gwen travels to Halloweentown where Aggie lives.

Once the kids arrive in Halloweentown, things really start taking off including a conflict with an unlikely villain and meeting some pretty peculiar residents of the town. Overall, the film hits the sweet spot of being heartfelt, funny, and having a few scares. This one should easily be atop your list of Halloween DCOMs to stream this month.

The second DCOM featured on the list is Don’t Look Under the Bed. This is one of the most underrated DCOMs of the entire list. Personally, it’s my favorite so I can’t see why others sleep on it. It follows Frances who ends up being blamed for all of these mysterious pranks happening in her town and she must team up with her brother’s imaginary friend to figure out what’s going on.

Don’t Look Under the Bed doesn’t shy away from the scares as some of the imagery is unsettling at times. It’s also one of the few DCOMs to receive a PG rating due to how scary some of the scenes are. The film is rarely aired on TV these days but thankfully, it’s available to watch on Disney Plus. If you aren’t afraid to get a little scared, then Don’t Look Under the Bed has to be on your list.
