The next two DCOMs focus on the modern and a throwback to the early 2000s.

The third DCOM to make the list is the Descendants series. While all of the films are good, the first film focuses more on being bad. If you didn’t know, the series follows the children of famous Disney villains including Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, the Evil Queen, and Jafar. It’s a unique take on the original Disney films while still giving them a modern twist.

In the first film, we see Mal, Carlos, Evie, and Jay attending Auradon Prep where they’re scheming to get their parents out of jail. Eventually, the tides start changing but not before we get some great songs and fun moments between characters. Even though the films can be a bit cheesy, they’re a lot of fun. While they aren’t exactly spooky, they have enough villains to justify the movies being considered a Halloween series.

The next DCOM making the list was released in 2000 and that’s Mom’s Got A Date With a Vampire. If you grew up in the early 2000s, then you’ll know how much Disney liked to play this one every year. This film follows the Hansen siblings who want their mom to go out so they have fun. Things look great until they realize they set their mother up with a vampire and try to save her before it’s too late.

The premise might sound off-the-wall and that’s because it is. Vampires are such a quintessential part of Halloween and this was a good way for Disney to jump on the trend. While it might be the most popular DCOM on the list, Mom’s Got A Date With a Vampire is still good.

The film features Caroline Rhea who is famous for playing Aunt Hilda on Sabrina the Teenage Witch so you really can’t lose out. If you’ve never watched it before, it’s one you should add to your list for this Halloween.
