Box Office Earnings: Stronger gathered $4.2 million domestically and $4.3 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $8.5 million.

Critical Reception: At Rotten Tomatoes, Stronger achieved a critical rating of 90%, which is very high, and an audience score of 80% complements it well. The movie received eight award nominations, and out of the eight, Gyllenhaal was the only one to win an award for Actor of the Year at the Hollywood Film Awards 2017.

Simply the best: Stronger is a great movie based on an inspiring true story. Gyllenhaal plays Jeff Bauman, who in the crowd watching his wife participate in the Boston Marathon in 2017. While Bauman is at the Marathon, a bomb goes off in part of the crowd where he is, and he loses both of his legs.

Stronger is a story about trauma and recovery. Warning, this movie shows graphic scenes, including recreating the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bomb attacks with broken limbs everywhere and bloodshed. Gyllenhaal’s acting is extremely powerful, and the rest of the cast is brilliant as well.

Box Office Earnings: The movie raked in $3 million domestically and $10 million internationally for a worldwide total of $13 million.

Critical Reception: The critics gave this movie 87% via Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score rating of 68%. The Sisters Brothers was a successful movie receiving 23 nominations and 10 awards.

Simply the best: Jake Gyllenhaal is a great crime and thriller movie star. In this western/crime movie, he stars as private investigator John Morris hired to track Hermann Warm (played by Riz Ahmed) down. The movie is an adaptation of Patrick DeWitt’s novel of the same name. It involves an excellent cast, including Joaquin Phoenix as Charlie Sisters and John C. Reily as Eli Sisters.

Charlie and Eli Sisters are hitmen brothers working for The Commodore agents – private investigator Morris. Morris is charged with finding Warm and becoming friends with him, and then the Sisters brothers find out. The unexpected happens next, so will the brothers undertake their usual hitmen work or what? Watch this western/crime movie if you want to find out, you will not be disappointed.
