Game of Thrones

Another of the TV theme tunes you likely expected to see on this list. Whenever I hear the initial white noise of HBO shows, it’s the Game of Thrones theme that immediately starts playing in my head. And then it is stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

There are no lyrics to the track, but it’s one of those theme tunes that you could see lyrics added. However, being instrumental fits the period of the fantastical series, especially when you add in the likes of “The Rains of Castamere.”

Can you hum along to the song seriously? There’s no doubt that you put on faces and drum out the base, right?

The Witcher

Not all theme tunes end up playing in the opening credits. That’s the case for The Witcher. There’s no doubt that there’s one song in particular that will get stuck in your head. You’ll hate me the minute I write the first line.

“Toss a coin to your witcher…” Want to finish off the song for me? I challenge you not to get the track stuck in your head now. It’s impossible.

I think us getting it stuck in our heads helps us empathize with Geralt of Rivera. After all, he certainly didn’t want the bard following him around. And it’s the bard’s fault we now have the song.
