Kailyn Lowry breaks down in tears over Chris Lopez in new Teen Mom 2 episode

Fans of the Teen Mom franchise have seen Kailyn Lowry go through some serious ups and downs when it comes to men, but arguably her worst relationship yet has been with Chris Lopez.

Kail and Chris began dating back in 2016 and have since had two kids together: three-year-old Lux, and baby Creed, who was born in July of this year. While the two have stayed in each other’s lives over the years, it hasn’t really been for the best.

The two have faced multiple breakups and cheating allegations throughout their relationship, and though Kailyn joked they could be getting married back in 2019, it doesn’t appear she’s on that same page any longer.

In the latest episode of Teen Mom 2 on Tuesday night, as reported by People, Kailyn broken down in tears while discussing her troubles with Chris.

The clip, which you can see below, shows the MTV personality sitting around the table with her sons, as they try to piece together her past relationships. When one asks why they don’t have a stepdad, Kail’s eldest son Isaac, 10, explains that she had dated his dad, Jo Rivera, married Lincoln’s dad, Javi Marroquin, and then dated Chris.

Lincoln wonders if and when Kailyn will marry Chris, to which Isaac explains that they’ve broken up.

Kailyn then talks to the cameras in a confessional-style scene, saying she does not feel happy. “I think I let certain people into my life knowing that they were toxic and I ignored a lot of red flags, and I think I let them stay too long to the point where I lost myself,” she says, breaking down in tears.

Later on in the episode, Kail reveals to cameras that she’s expecting her second child with Chris, revealing, “Chris’ aunt decided to post a photo of my ultrasound on social media, which obviously went viral. I haven’t really said anything publicly about it.”

She also tearfully shares with the cameras:

"I know that people will have a ton of questions and are wondering how I could have gone back to someone like that. I think there’s a lot to be said that I haven’t really talked about in a relationship where domestic violence is there and where it’s just really toxic. I’m still trying to figure that stuff out."

Clearly, Kail’s had a rough time trying to navigate her relationship with Chris, and sadly it hasn’t gotten any better since this episode was filmed. As we previously reported, Kail recently revealed that Chris actually made her take a paternity test to assure him he was the father of their baby.

Here’s to hoping Kailyn can somehow move on from this Chris drama, co-parenting or not.
