Our favorite Cloud 9 employees are back on Superstore, and they are more essential than ever. As the poster for Season 6 hints, the comedy series will tackle the pandemic head-on as the characters wear their masks and brace for chaos as frontline workers.
When we last left the team in the abrupt Season 5 finale, Amy was preparing to move to California for a new position at corporate with a valiant Jonah in tow. However, the second part of the finale delayed America Ferrera’s departure.

As the sixth season of Superstore begins, Ferrera returns for two more episodes, ending her run with the show’s 100th episode, the culmination of the two-parter airing next week. But for the premiere, Amy finds herself remaining at Cloud 9 a little longer than expected as she begins her new job remotely.
Together, Amy and Jonah handle the impending complications from the mounting stress of the pandemic, including (but more than likely not limited to) the concerns of the rest of the staff. One thing’s for sure, if any show can find humor and catharsis out of the situation while still handling it with care, it’s Superstore.
How will the series backpedal from the previous season finale’s cliffhanger ending? Will Amy and Jonah continue discussing the upcoming move to California, or is he currently still on board on relocating with Amy? What’s the mood of Cloud 9 with Amy’s new job and the pandemic?
