As production on various TV shows and films are starting to resume after months of COVID-19-related delays and postponements, many would agree that it’s probably still too soon to be starting back up. We’ve already seen in a few cases that stars have tested positive for the virus after beginning to film projects again, and now that has unfortunately happened for the cast of Teen Mom OG.

According to The Ashley, one star of Teen Mom OG has reportedly contracted COVID-19, meaning that production for the show has come to a halt. For privacy reasons, the publication will not disclose which of the ladies or persons associated with them has tested positive.

Fans will know the MTV series stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Baltierra, Amber Portwood, Mackenzie McKee, and Cheyenne Floyd. We do not know if one of the main cast members has tested positive, or someone close to them who also appears on the show.

In any case, an insider assures The Ashley that the cast member does not feel super sick, explaining, “No one associated with [that cast member] can film for two weeks, including their family. Luckily, the cast member is showing no symptoms and is feeling fine.”

Production on the MTV series has been made possible thanks to their own bubble, similarly to how other reality shows have been able to film, such as season 16 of The Bachelorette. This means no one is allowed in without quarantining, producers and camera crew included.

Reportedly, filming for Teen Mom OG can begin again in two weeks time, that is if everyone tests negative for COVID-19 and all homes are properly sanitized.

We’re wishing a speedy recovery for whoever of the Teen Mom OG squad has tested positive.
