Box Office Earnings: Ted was a box office smash hit, making $549.4 million worldwide. The movie made $218.8 million domestically, and internationally the movie made $330.5 million.

Critical Reception: Via Rotten Tomatoes, the critics and audiences shared similar views, as it received a critics rating of 69% and a rating of 73% from the audiences. The movie received 28 nominations and 13 wins. Wahlberg was nominated for seven of the 28 nominations. Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane won the Best On-Screen Duo award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, 2013.

Simply the best: Wahlberg made $7.5 million for his superb performance in Ted. While Wahlberg has become a well-known action star, his comedy skills are great and should not be overlooked. Wahlberg plays John Bennett, who has lived his whole life in Boston, and when he was a child, he magically discovers that his teddy bear has come to life.

He shares an inseparable bond with his teddy bear named Ted. They do everything together and also get stoned whenever the world stops caring. If you are yet to watch Ted, you do not know what you are missing. The bromance shared between Ted and John is one of a kind.

7. Patriots Day

Box Office Earnings: The movie domestically raked in $31.8 million, and internationally it grossed in $20.3 million. A total worldwide profit of $52.1 million the movie brought in from the box office.

Critical Reception: Patriots Day did well with critics and audiences. The rating the critics gave was 80% and an audience score rating of 86%. With the high ratings, you would think Patriots Day would have won more awards, as it only won two awards and received three nominations.

Simply the best: Patriots Day is a movie about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the aftermath of the bombing, focusing on the manhunt for the terrorists. Wahlberg plays Sergeant Tommy Saunders, who is part of the Boston police officers who help find out which terrorists are responsible for the Boston Marathon bomb attacks. The movie makes number seven on the list because it is a movie based on a true story and story that changed Boston forever.
