Missing the always-popular BBC show Gavin and Stacey? Us too. The comedy, which was written by and starred James Corden and Ruth Jones, ran from 2007 to 2010, with a Christmas special airing last winter. Although there sadly won’t be another holiday special coming to our screens in 2020, there have been teases and bits of hope that the show will return at some point.

And in the meantime, there will be some type of Christmas special this year–in the form of a radio show including a handful of the Gavin and Stacey cast. Sadly, James Corden and Ruth Jones won’t be in attendance, however a special message from Corden will reportedly be included.

According to Chortle, Joanna Page, Mathew Horne, Melanie Walters, Larry Lamb, Alison Steadman, Steffan Rhodri, Robert Wilfort, and Laura Aikman will all be coming together for a radio show on December 25, 2020.

You can catch these Gavin and Stacey cast members on BBC Radio Wales from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Joanna Page, who played Stacey, is featured in a teaser video for the upcoming Christmas radio show. Already a familiar voice on BBC Radio Wales, she explains in the clip below that she’s excited to bring along co-star Mathew Horne, who played Gavin, onto the radio with her.

Matthew Horne is then shown beside Joanna, saying that he wanted to invite some special friends along for the holiday special.

You can see the radio show teaser video below.

As for when we’ll get more content from the Gavin and Stacey TV show, that’s still up in the air. However, Charlotte Moore from the BBC shared recently that it would make a comeback “someday.” Both James Corden and Ruth Jones have expressed the same sentiments in the past.

We hope everyone has a happy holiday this wintertime and is able to enjoy a fun Christmas Day show from some of our favorite Gavin and Stacey stars!
