Is Frank’s Restaurant in Euphoria a real diner?

Ever wonder how much of what you see in the visually stunning and emotionally visceral show Euphoria is real? I know I do. After all, much of Euphoria certainly feels true to life in more ways than one, including some of the filming locations.

The venues and spaces that Rue (played by Zendaya) and company pop in and out of do seem very real on the show, even if some of that realness is mostly thanks all the great actors and crew. Some of those hot spots and dark diners are not just sets or stages, however. In fact, some of the coolest Euphoria footage is actually shot in real life places.

Is Frank’s Restaurant a real place?

In the new episode of Euphoria which features Frank’s Restaurant, for instance, Rue and Ali meet at the diner to eat pancakes on Christmas Eve.

The restaurant they find themselves in is a very real place in Burbank, California. Neat, right? You can check the real Frank’s Coffee Shop on Trip Advisor here. It’s also considered to be a Burbank landmark amongst many locals.

And in case you didn’t know, Euphoria isn’t the only famous show to film at Frank’s Restaurant.

As noted by the traveler blog Remains of L.A., the walls of Frank’s are adorned with mementos from other filming projects that have passed through, including Scorpion, Sons of Anarchy, Parks and Recreation, and even Gone Girl.

All have reportedly shot scenes in famous Frank’s, which has had its diner doors open since 1957. Apparently, not much around what we see on the show was changed, and it is truly a classic and quintessential L.A. diner experience.

Euphoria is definitely a show worth keeping your eyes wide open for. You never know what you might see, or what special place the cast might end up, next.
