What are the biggest questions for the Transplant Season 2 premiere?

Transplant is over for a season, but there’s more to come from the show. Season 2 is happening in Canada, and we’re hoping NBC decides to pick it up. Either way, at least there will be some answers to some burning questions out there.

The Transplant Season 1 finale touched on all the main characters, although the big concern was around Dr. Bishop and his stroke. The questions also involve him, but there are so many other questions about our main characters.

Here are the five biggest questions after the Transplant Season 1 finale.

Will something finally happen between Bash and Mags?

Mags wants to get a work-life balance. There’s also clearly some chemistry (and respect) between her and Bash. While alone together at one point, there was this moment where it looked like they were going to kiss.

This has been brewing for some time, although I will admit that I love Transplant is more about the medicine and not who is hooking up with who like Grey’s Anatomy tends to be. That being said, when there’s chemistry, I want to see characters happy.

Will June become Chief Resident?

We’ve seen so much growth in June throughout the first season. She went from someone who definitely wasn’t a team player to someone helping Mags find a work-life balance. In the end, she fights to get her patient the exact treatment she needs and doesn’t even fight against not getting to scrub in. This was about the patient.

Dr. Singh suggests she puts in for Chief Resident. It won’t give her that much more power, but it will look good for her career. Will she put herself forward? I hope she does!

Can Theo and Mel make it work?

Theo and Mel have struggled but managed to make things work with their long-distance relationship. However, this was always supposed to be for his training and that was it. Theo changed the goalposts when he went for a permanent position at the hospital.

The two have a lot to work through, but the Transplant Season 1 finale gives us hope that they can do that. We need to see that couples can work through these problems, that marriages are worth fighting for.

Will Dr. Bishop recover?

Dr. Bishop had a stroke during the episode. The good news is he is alive and awake. The bad news is he can’t speak. There’s a chance he never will speak, and it doesn’t look like he’ll ever operate again.

Will Transplant write out one of its biggest-named actors from the series? This wouldn’t be the first time something like this happened, and it would make the show feel real. Strokes are devastating, and medical dramas have a duty to be honest about things like this. However, that doesn’t mean I want to see John Hannah’s character written out!

Who was the woman at the end?

Finally, we have to touch on the ending to the finale. As Bash and Amira are leaving the hospital, they see a woman they know. This woman is clearly from their past, likely from Syria or a refugee camp.

Is this woman just a friend? Is there a romantic link to Bash? Will we get to learn a little more about what refugees go through before they get to live in a country on Transplant Season 2?
