Here are the five best Christmas shows to stream on Netflix

Who’s in the Christmas spirit for the holidays? With Christmas approaching, you’ve probably gotten in the mood with holiday songs and movies. However, don’t forget about television, and there’s plenty of Christmas shows to choose from on Netflix.

When it comes to choosing something to watch on Christmas, most viewers elect to watch a classic movie like Home Alone or Elf. Those are excellent selections and some of my favorite Christmas movies! However, television provides plenty of shows that revolve around the holiday season and the Christmas spirit.

Many shows like The Office and Friends have certain episodes that surround the holidays. However, for this list, we’re sticking to Christmas shows where the entire premise and setting involves the holidays. Here are five of the best Christmas shows to stream on Netflix.

Home for Christmas

If you’re single, then you probably know what it’s like to visit your family without a significant other. The dinner table turns into the interrogation room and you get grilled with questions left and right. If you’ve experienced this, then Home for Christmas will be very relatable.

Home for Christmas stars Ida Elise Broch as Johannne, a 30-year-old nurse who lies to her family about having a boyfriend. When her family invites the boyfriend to Christmas dinner, Johanne has 24 days to find a boyfriend and bring him to Christmas dinner. Season 1 premiered in Dec. 2019 while Season 2 premieres on Dec. 18.

The charming romantic comedy is Netflix’s first Norwegian original seriesHome for Christmas was dubbed in English, but viewers can watch the original dialogue in Norwegian with English subtitles.
