When will Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, Episode 7 air in 2021?

The holiday season is here, which means one thing. All our favorite TV shows are going on their winter breaks. Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 is not an exception to the rule.

Usually, the shows return in January. That’s not happening for our favorite medical TV drama. When will Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, Episode 7 air?

We have to wait until March 2021. More specifically, Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 returns on Thursday, Mar. 4, 2021. It will keep the 9/8c timeslot that it’s come back to after moving to an hour earlier for a few seasons.

Don’t blame ABC or the show for this scheduling decision. It’s all linked to COVID-19.

It’s taking longer to film episodes due to the extra protocols. That means there aren’t as many episodes in the bank as there usually is at this time of the year. To allow the cast and crew to still have their holidays with their family and make sure there are as few breaks in the season as possible, ABC is pushing the return dates of TGIT to the spring.

It will be worth it!

What will happen when Grey’s Anatomy Season 17 returns?

There isn’t much known about the show when it does return, but it’s clear that we’ll be focused on the pandemic still. This has been a focus from the beginning of the season, giving us a look at everything the healthcare workers are facing. Doctors and nurses have got the disease, and some have died because they’ve put their lives on the line for the sake of others.

We’ve seen the stresses of lack of equipment. The show has focused on the inequality of this disease, with more people of color being affected than white people. And then there’s the fact that there are still many other problems that arise.

DeLuca ended the winter finale in search of the woman involved in the sex trafficking ring from Grey’s Anatomy Season 16. We can expect more of that when the show returns, especially with the link back to the storyline in the Station 19 winter finale.
