4. Close Enough

HBO Max brought us some adult animation during the year, too. Close Enough includes voices from J. G. Quintel, Gabrielle Walsh, Jessica DiCicco, and Jason Mantzoukas, and it’s an excellent series for those looking for something to throw on and relax with.

The show follows a couple with their five-year-old daughter. Also living with them are their divorced friends. It leads to plenty of problems and laughs. If you love Regular Show, then you’ll certainly love this one.

The show has already been renewed for a second season, so we have that to look forward to, hopefully in 2021.

3. The Flight Attendant

The newest of the HBO Max Originals is on the list. The Flight Attendant stars Kaley Cuoco as Cassie, a flight attendant who wakes up next to a dead body one morning in Bangkok. Instead of calling the authorities, she cleans up the crime scene and gets on her flight back home.

Of course, the authorities are there and they suspect her of the murder. Or do they? Do they know that there’s something bigger going on? That’s for everyone to work out throughout the eight-episode season.

The great thing about this show is that it was supposed to be a limited series but has been renewed. And it’s one of those shows that does have more to tell with the way it ended. There’s a lot more dramedy to come in 2021 and beyond.
