It’s been a long break since the first two episodes of the season. Let’s not point fingers and get too annoyed about that right now. Instead, we need to focus on the return of the show.

The show will pick up with where we were left in the previous episode. Casey and Brett were just hooking up when Brett asked an, arguably, understandable question. She wanted to know if Casey still had feelings for Dawson. If Dawson turned up tomorrow and asked him to leave with her, would he go?

Casey had to be honest. He couldn’t give her an answer, put on the spot and unsure how he would react. It really is just a case of adding drama in for the sake of it. After all, Dawson has asked Casey to leave with her before and he’s said no. His home is in Chicago.

But we need drama for the next episode, right? We’ll get a little more of that during this upcoming episode.

Severide, Stella, and Mouch have storylines on Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 3

It also sounds like Severide and Stella will have a conversation about their future. Will these two be on the rocks again? Let’s hope not!

Can we just have one relationship that remains strong within the firehouse? We can see that relationships with those outside of the firehouse can work well, the show continues to give us a hint that relationships between colleagues are bad.

Severide has already had Stella’s back throughout the first two episodes of Chicago Fire Season 9. That’s how it needs to stay on Episode 3.

Then there’s Mouch, who will have his confidence knocked during Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 3. When there’s an accident on the ladder, he questions his abilities. Is it time for him to retire? He’s had these thoughts now and then on the series, but it’s always turned out that he’s in the right place. I’m sure that’s the way it will work out with this episode.
