Severide getting second thoughts about his relationship

Stellaride can’t catch a break! Just as I was so happy to see Severide so supportive of Stella, he steps back from their relationship. However, I will admit that this seems to be from a good place. He just needs to be honest about it.

Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 3 sees Stella start on the path of lieutenant. While she has a lot of fans, the chief controlling it all isn’t all that happy. He sees her has a diversity promotion rather than her earning her place.

To make it worse, he says rumor is she only got pushed for promotion because she’s sleeping with Severide. We all know Boden wouldn’t do that, but it’s enough doubt to make Severide pull away from Stella thinking he’s doing her career some good.

Boden going easy on Kylie

Kylie starts her new job at the firehouse, and she tries to make a good impression by acting on what she’s hearing. One of those decisions is to get Boden a standing desk because he’s complained of a bad back.

Boden doesn’t like the desk, but decides not to tell Kylie at all. Honestly, he could have probably made it work. All he had to do was move the desk up and down throughout the day. I’ve got a desk very similar and for every hour of sitting, I spend a good 30 minutes standing.

But the desk was my choice and not forced on me.

Herrmann and Gallo notice that Boden is going easy on Kylie and suggest it’s because she’s a girl. That’s not the case at all. It’s because Boden doesn’t want her to lose her enthusiasm for the job.

Can they just get on with being honest with each other? That’s all Kylie wants from now on. She is very much like Stella.
