Stream Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 5 live
Prodigal Son has given viewers a new twist—if you can believe it. Despite the name’s show and Malcolm Bright being firmly the lead, it’s not Malcolm we have to worry about following in his father’s footsteps—at least for now.
It’s Ainsley, his younger sister who seemed to have her life pretty much in order.
Instead, Ainsley brutally killed Endicott in a mega twist at the end of Season 1 when their lives were in danger and now it seems she might be interested in the family business. Malcolm is even worried about her and, in the final moments of Season 2, Episode 4, the matriarch Jessica looked scared of her own daughter.
What to expect on Prodigal Son Season 2, Episode 5
Tonight’s episode picks up the storyline with a new set of murders. There is a new killer, and the NYPD and the media are out to find the murderer. The issue seems to be Malcolm doesn’t think Ainsley’s intentions are strictly professional. Instead, she might be getting close to the story because of her own morbid thoughts.
While Malcolm has spent his life fighting the comparisons to his father and worried he might actually be too much like him, it seems he has to now consider Ainsley might have sadistic tendencies because once Dr. Whitly finds out his daughter is interested in his work, his interest in her will be heightened.
The turn in Ainsley’s character is one I didn’t see coming. The focus was so much on Malcolm that you wondered if he would ever cross the line. Now, he has to add his sister’s dark thoughts to his already full plate.
The question for Ainsley is will she cross the line again or was self-defense the only thing that will drive her that far? We don’t get to see too much of Ainsley’s private life or thoughts and it’s purposefully done that way.
We know just as much as Malcolm does and it makes Prodigal Son far more interesting.
