Did Kapoor survive the surgery on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 2?

Despite not initially wanting to do it, Reynolds did the surgery on Kapoor. Did he survive on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 2?

When Max called Reynolds, it was to work a miracle. Reynolds wasn’t sure he was going to manage that. He looked at the scans and realized that surgery wasn’t an option.

He did end up needing to do the surgery. There was no way around it. However, Reynolds wasn’t sure that Kapoor would even make it through the surgery. He wanted to get everyone around Kapoor to say goodbye just in case.

Even Kapoor was sure he wouldn’t make it. While Ella delivered her baby, Kapoor asked Iggy to look out for his grandchild. Of course, Iggy wasn’t going to let Kapoor go to surgery without a “yes,” even if Iggy was holding out hope that his best friend would make it through.

Kapoor sees his late wife on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 2

The surgery wasn’t easy. The stitches Reynolds put into Kapoor’s heart weren’t holding, and it looked like we were going to lose our favorite Head of Neurology.

As Reynolds worked, we got to see where Kapoor went. He was in a hospital where his late wife turned up. She had fruit on a platter and told Kapoor to eat it. He would need strength to meet their granddaughter.

Yes, Ella had a daughter during the episode, with Sharpe there to help her through, and Kapoor found out while he was on the verge of crossing over. He ate the fruit and passed back into his body, waking up after a successful surgery.

Kapoor gets to live to fight another day. Hopefully, he doesn’t have to fight too much to live now.
