Meanwhile, Kate began her first day as a music teacher at Jack’s school. Unfortunately, things got off to a rocky start when Kate met her supervisor, a man who seemed unimpressed with her lack of qualifications and separation anxiety. Although his attempts to intimidate her seemed to be working, Kate finally gained some confidence when her advice to an equally nervous student improved her performance exponentially!
Back in Philadelphia, Randall went to his first meeting of a transracial identity support group. There, Randall, usually a talker, found himself sitting and listening to the stories of fellow adoptees that struggled with finding their racial identity.
While we don’t know what this means for him moving forward, the hope is that this is the final piece of the puzzle for him to move forward.
As we’ve seen in the promo for next week, he may begin that process with Kevin, who has asked him to be his best man and will be traveling to Philadelphia next week to hash things out.
