ABC’s Rebel season 2 release date, cast, trailer, synopsis and more

Has the ABC network renewed Rebel for a second season? When will Rebel season 2 starring Katey Sagal premiere? Here’s what we know!

Actress Katey Sagal, who most fans remember best from Married with Children or Sons of Anarchy, stars in Rebel on ABC. The series premiered on April 8, 2021, so it still one of the freshest shows on, not only the ABC network, but on TV in general.

Rebel is inspired by the true experiences of Erin Brockovich, and let me tell you, no one would have portrayed this role better than Sagal!

Whether you remember Sagal best from Married with Children or Sons of Anarchy, you know she can beautifully take on a strong role. Simply put, Sagal is a badass and it shows. She never takes on just any role, and we love that.

It’s wonderful to see Sagal on TV again. That said, will she be back for more in Rebel? Has the freshman series been renewed or canceled?

Rebel season 2 premiere date

Unfortunately, ABC has not yet made a decision about Rebel‘s future, so there’s no way of no one when it will premiere. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it’s not uncommon for any network or streaming series to wait a while before making a decision.

If Rebel season 2 does happen, we believe it’ll premiere in early to mid-April 2022. There’s typically a year between seasons for most shows.

Because the show is still so new, we’re not sure.  A character can leave, or even die, it’s still too early to know. We assume Katey Sagal is safe, as well as John Corbett, James Lesure, Tamala Jones, and others. But we’ll keep you posted as soon as we learn more!

With no date or even a renewal or cancellation announcement, there’s no way of knowing more about a trailer or synopsis. It should, if renewed, continue telling the stories of the title character. Again, we’ll update you when more is released!
