Loki is now streaming on Disney Plus: How many episodes are there? When do new episodes come out?

The day has finally arrived! Loki is now streaming on Disney Plus, and critics are raving about the series. Will you be watching? Can you only stream the Marvel series on Disney Plus? How many episodes is it? We are here to answer all your questions!

Loki, the most complex “villain”  in the MCU (aka Thor’s adopted brother), has arrived at Disney Plus. The highly anticipated series will see the God of Mischief in a storyline that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. 

Now, if you even casually follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you know that Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War, but he cheated death, in a way, when he stole the tesseract to travel through time.

Critics have screened the first two episodes of the series and love it! The critics are teasing action, a fun bromance, and enjoyed Owen Wilson’s performance. Needless to say, Rotten Tomatoes predicts another Marvel hit for Disney Plus, but after WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Solider, are we even surprised?

What is Loki about?

Loki is stopped by the Time Variance Authority, an organization that exists outside of time and space whose job is to monitor the timeline. A captured Loki will be offered the chance to help fix the timeline to stop a bigger threat or be erased from existence.

How many episodes will Loki have?

Unfortunately, the first will only consist of six episodes. However, season 2 is reportedly already in development! The first season will be part of  MCU’s Phase Four, so we’re sure the final episodes will be very telling and may even tease what’s ahead.

The premiere episode is now streaming, the remaining five episodes will arrive on Wednesdays at 3 a.m. ET. Will you be staying up late (or waking up early, depending on your time zone) to watch the series?

  • Episode 1 is now streaming.
  • Episode 2 premieres on June 16
  • Episode 3 on June 23
  • Episode 4 on June 30
  • Episode 5 on July 7
  • Episode 6, the season finale, on July 14
