Ranking The Fast and Furious movies, from worst to best
By Dan Girolamo
The Fast and Furious Saga is one of the most successful franchises at the box office of the last 30 years. The Fast and Furious movies continue to push the story and stunts to new heights.
The Fast and Furious franchise is about to achieve a major milestone. After twenty years, The Fast Saga will release its ninth film from the main installment, F9.
It’s hard to believe that the first film in the franchise, The Fast and the Furious, was released in theaters on June 22, 2001. Nine films and one spinoff later, The Fast and the Furious franchise has grossed close to $6 billion at the worldwide box office.
The Fast and Furious has come a long way in terms of plot and scale. The first film follows an undercover cop, Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker), and his quest to infiltrate the underground street racing community in order to catch a group of thieves led by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).
Now, stealing DVD players doesn’t even move the needle for Toretto’s crew. From bank heists in Brazil to stopping a nuclear war in Russia, the series has grown into a gigantic spectacle of action. There is no stunt that is too big or too ridiculous for these movies. Earth was too boring for this crew so they decided to take it to space in F9.
What are the best Fast and Furious movies in The Fast Saga?
In honor of F9, we thought it would be fun to rank every movie in The Fast and Furious franchise. In total, there have been nine films in the main installment and one spinoff.
