Madeleine Mantock leaving Charmed: What will happen to Macy in the Season 3 finale?

The Power of Three will be a sister down for Charmed Season 4. Madeleine Mantock is leaving the CW series after three seasons.

And just like the original series, the Power of Three will be down a sister when it comes to Charmed Season 4. According to TVLine, Mantock, who plays Macy Vaughn on the series, is leaving after the Season 3 finale.

Shannon Doherty left the original series after the third season. It was under different circumstances, though. During the original series, there were problems behind the scenes that led to Doherty being fired during the summer hiatus. We still don’t know the full story, but it meant the show had to quickly write in Doherty’s exit and we never got to see her return, even for the series finale. In fact, there weren’t even any photos of Prue in the finale!

Things are different this time. Mantock is leaving by choice, and the writers have crafted a storyline for her. Macy could return in the future in some sort of way, but it does make us question whether Macy will live or die in the Charmed Season 3 finale.

What will happen to Macy on the Charmed Season 3 finale

We don’t get to know the details just yet. There’s actually only the one episode of the season left, which will air on Friday, July 23.

The synopsis tells us that Macy’s life is on the line. Harry realizes that she needs a whitelighter to heal her, which means he wants to get his immortality and his powers back. He’s only just become mortal for Macy and now he’s willing to sacrifice all that to save her.

Will it be in time? Can he get his powers back? What does it mean for Macy afterward? Is this what pulls her away?

There’s been nothing set up for Macy to leave town, which suggests she’ll be killed off at the end of Charmed Season 3. That’s the only realistic way to write Macy out at this point in the season. Of course, through flashbacks and ghosts, it is still possible to bring her back if the story is there for it.

Will there be a fourth sister introduced? It will be interesting to see if the show will follow something similar to the original series or if Josefina will end up joining the Power of Three since her character has already been established.
