Watch Motherland: Fort Salem season 2, episode 5 online

It’s a time of celebration in Motherland: Fort Salem season 2 episode 5 “Brianna’s Favorite Pencil.” But instead of a bright, sex-filled tradition like Beltane in the show’s first season, our witches are preparing for a somber occasion. Samhain has arrived and with it reflection on the dead and things left unspoken.

The episode is a fitting follow-up to the events of “Not Our Daughters” where Abigail nearly lost her life and her voice because of her love and grief over her cousin Charvel. The Camarilla have made the Bellweathers targets, hell-bent on ending their line. Abigail is the last witch capable of carrying the family’s legacy. It’s a sore point that’s been eating at her.

Unbeknownst to her, however, something is being done when it comes to the army’s involvement in bringing the terrorist group down. In fact, her mother is not only privy to it, she’s helping to orchestrate the infiltration into the group through Anacostia and Scylla.

The pair, who’ve steadily become trusted members of the civilian movement, have been invited to a special Halloween event, one with a horrible tradition at its center.

Motherland: Fort Salem season 2 episode 5 stirs up trouble on Samhain

Tradition is a big part of “Brianna’s Favorite Pencil.” It’s what leads the Bellweather unit out into the woods with the rest of the Sekhmet coven to fight against a horse riding ghost unit. Yes, you read that right.

With the veil thin on Samhain, it’s possible for the dead to be amongst the living. As such Sekhmet will be fighting to earn the chance to speak with someone who’s passed away. If they’re successful, they’ll have the opportunity to get the answers they seek though they may not be the ones they want.

Meanwhile, Anacostia and Scylla’s recon mission is set to take a turn for the horrifying which could force them to make a move they weren’t prepared for.
