Motherland: Fort Salem season 2 episode 6, “My 3 Dads,” is the first episode of 2B, and we’re excited to see what this step into the back half of the season has to offer.

Based on the title, it looks like we’ll be getting a glimpse into the Bellweather household. We’ve known about Abigail’s trio of fathers since last season, but we’ve never gotten the opportunity to meet them. Perhaps that’s about to change.

Last episode, “Brianna’s Favorite Pencil,” put Abigail and Adil on the hunt to stop the Camarilla. Both of their families have been targets of the terrorist group. The young couple are tired of sitting on the sidelines as the army makes slow work of bringing the Camarilla to justice, so they’re taking matters into their own hands.

Are we about to be swept up into the intensity that Taylor Hickson teased after episode 5? Seems we’re on our way to finding out.

According to the synopsis for “My 3 Dads,” the focus of the episode will be family.

"Raelle brings Tally home to Cession, where they struggle with the past. Abigail is confronted with pressure from her family when Adil accompanies her home."

Both Abigail and Raelle having been processing grief over lost loved ones. But, while Charvel’s ghost pushed her cousin to become vengeance incarnate, Willa Collar didn’t show up for Raelle on Samhain. We know it’s because her mom is alive, but Raelle has yet to land on this revelation.

Will episode 6 finally reveal the truth to her? We sure hope so. Watching Raelle agonize over the loss of her mom, especially since their last conversation clearly didn’t go well, has been painful to say the least.

Whatever happens, perhaps she’ll get the answers she’s seeking from her father. He’s been a constant source of support for her. Maybe this trip home will help her in more ways than one.

Meanwhile, Alder better protect her neck because someone is coming for it.
