Where can you watch the Michael C. Hall film John and the Hole online?

John and the Hole is a coming-of-age drama/thriller that has made the rounds in the festival circuit over the past two years. The film was a selection of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival and the 2021 Sundance Film Festival which is nothing to scoff at.

At long last John and the Hole will become available to the public this weekend, but where exactly can you watch the film? Is it streaming online or is the movie exclusively in theaters?

Featuring a cast that includes Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), and Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty), John and the Hole features some familiar faces. Newcomer Charlie Shotwell (Eli)  carries the movie, however, and many are applauding his performance.

The movie follows Shotwell after he stumbles across an incomplete bunker in the woods behind his house and decides to use it to confine his family. There is no telling where things will go from there so the movie is tense throughout.

John and the Hole was nominated for a Grand Jury prize at Sundance and director Pascual Sisto won the “Directors to Watch” award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. If that isn’t enough for you, writer Nicolas Giacobone won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the Michael Keaton film Birdman in 2015, so there is plenty of talent in front of and behind the camera.
