The Suicide Squad is another hit under James Gunn’s belt, it’s even one of the best DCEU movies to date. What is there to know about another movie featuring DC’s best anti-villains? Will it stream on HBO Max or release exclusively in theaters?

Another big questions (possibly the biggest of all) is, who will it star? After all, the Suicide Squad franchise is never afraid to kill its characters. But, I think it’s safe to say, as long as Harley Quinn and King Shark are involved, we should be good. Okay, maybe Ratcatcher 2 and little Sebastian, too.

A lot of excitement has surrounding The Suicide Squad since it was announced that James Gunn will be taking the lead in this project. Sure enough, it’s brilliant and features everything we love about movies directed by Gunn.

However, this franchise is not like any others. The story can go in a different direction each time, and with a new set of characters. That said, we should expect the unexpected.

Will there be a Suicide Squad 3 movie?

Nothing has been confirmed. While Gunn has discussed possibly making Suicide Squad 3, as Screen Rant reports, no plans are official just yet. As any other movie, the studio likely wants to wait to see how the audience responds to The Suicide Squad and if there is any interest.

Based on everything we have seen so far, there is definitely a large interest, not to mention a need, for more great DCEU movies like this one. So, if you ask me, it’s only a matter of time before we learn more about a third movie.

When can Suicide Squad 3 premiere?

Once it’s official, I’d say the movie will premiere either late 2023 or early 2024. I know, it’s not as early as we would want, but, if it’s Gunn that will direct, he is busy with other projects (mainly Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) and we also have to consider the schedules of the large cast.

What’s the next DC movie?

Next up, we have The Batman, which premieres in theaters on March 4, 2022. We also look forward to The Flash on Nov. 4, 2022, Aquaman 2 on Dec. 16, 2022, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods on June 2, 2023.
