Why Cole Sprouse had a ‘difficult’ time working with Jennifer Aniston on Friends
By Sandy C.
Cole Sprouse is best known for Riverdale and The Suite Life, but his fans still remember the star as Ross Geller’s son Ben from Friends. Ben was a sweet, charming boy! But he has revealed working with Jennifer Aniston was a bit “difficult,” here’s why.
When it comes to child actors, we’ll be frank, they’re not all our favorite. Sure, they can do a better job than us sitting on the couch can, but still, we can’t help but tease them!
Well, most of them! Cole Sprouse is one of the few kid actors who has always delivered great performances in fun roles, from Big Daddy to The Suite Life, we have loved watching Cole (and Dylan) grow.
Currently, Cole portrays Jughead in Riverdale, but let’s rewind to his time working on Friends.
In an interview on the Drew Barrymore Show, Cole shared that he “had a particularly hard time working on Friends,” telling Barrymore that he had a huge crush on Aniston, which made it difficult to focus. Cute!

Cole tells Barrymore:
"“I was a child, I would stammer a lot, and I would forget my lines. I feel like I’d maintain my composure a bit more effectively now, but it was quite difficult when I was a kid.”"
It didn’t help Cole’s case that his crush on Aniston was not a secret. The cast and crew actually knew about it and would tease him. It did make Cole feel better knowing that “the whole world had a crush on Jennifer Aniston,” too.
Cole is super busy working on Riverdale, but would he ever do The Suite Life of Zack and Cody reboot? He shared that he is asked about it all the time, his brother Dylan is asked, too, but there are no plans for it.
In fact, Cole has replied, “No, absolutely not.” Aww, that’s disappointing! But we understand not all actors wish to reprise their older roles. For now, we’ll have to settle with watching Cole as Jughead on Riverdale.
